Die Gefangenen wehren sich

Following the sudden transfer of Farhad Vakili from ward 350 on Saturday May 8, and his execution the next day along with 4 other prisoners, a vigil was held on Monday by ward 350 prisoners. The ceremony resulted in a harsh reaction by the head of ward 350 Bozorgnia. The ward’s 180 political prisoners then, announced they were going on a hunger strike refusing to accept the meals delivered to the ward. Reports suggest that since a few hours ago, and following an order issued by the warden, Sedaghat, Evin has started to relocate ward350 prisoners to sections 7 & 8 of Evin as well as Karaj’s Rajai-Shahr prison.
