Es soll ja immer noch Schriftsteller, Regisseure und Journalisten in der „Islamischen Republik Iran“ geben; wohin dieser unhaltbare Zustand für das Regime führt, das sieht man bei der Berlinale gerade wieder. So Leute machen nur schlechte Presse. Die neue Sonderstaatsanwaltschaft solls richten:
Iran’s official news agency says the judiciary has set up a special prosecutor’s office for offenses related to media and culture.

The move signaled new restrictions on journalists and artists, many of whom supported widespread protests against the re-election of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in 2009.

The news agency Irna reported Sunday that the new department will operate under Tehran’s chief prosecutor and that a special court will also be established. (AP via Yahoo)

A commander of special forces during the Iran-Iraq War has called on young people to participate in the Monday marches. He writes, „I feel as though the 25 Bahman demonstrations have exactly the same symbolic meaning for our youth, the young Iranian lions and lionesses, that the war with Iraq had for us, except that this time the enemy is not Iraq, but Zahhak,“ the mythical Persian emperor who is the symbol of the tyrannical ruler.

Schon im Dezember hatte die Wirtschaftskammer Österreich auf einem Seminar in Wien offen Werbung für die Fortsetzung und den Ausbau des Handels mit dem Iran betrieben. Nach Aussagen von Seminarteilnehmern wurde den Anwesenden erklärt, wie sie trotz Sanktionen weiterhin gute Geschäfte mit dem iranischen Regime machen können. WKO-Präsident Christoph Leitl fordert und fördert seit Jahren die Intensivierung der Geschäftsbeziehungen mit dem antisemitischen Regime in Teheran, das weiterhin an seinem Nuklearwaffen- und Raketenprogramm arbeitet, die iranische Freiheitsbewegung brutal unterdrückt, Konferenzen zur Leugnung des Holocaust organisiert, Israel mit der Vernichtung droht und den weltweiten djihadistischen Terror mit seinen Einnahmen aus dem Außenhandel finanziert.

Wir protestieren gegen Veranstaltungen und gegen eine Politik, die den Handel und die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Iran noch ausbauen wollen, anstatt sie zu beenden!

Wenn das Regime in Teheran die Demonstration am Montag offiziell erlauben würde – es wäre ein Wunder. Kein Wunder also, was Reuters nun meldet – wobei das Drumherumreden und untergeordnete Chargen Vorschicken auch wieder bezeichnend ist; Selbstsicherheit sähe anders aus.

„These people are fully aware of the illegality of their demand and they know they will not receive a permit for staging a riot,“ Mehdi Alikhani-Sadr, deputy director of the Interior Ministry’s political bureau, was quoted by the semi-official Fars news agency as saying. It had always been highly unlikely the government would permit the rally organized by groups it considers seditious.

Während auf den TV-Sendern weltweit Nordafrikas Freiheitsbewegungen zu sehen sind, bleibt völlig unbemerkt, dass der Iran sein Urananreicherungsprogramm wieder auf den höchsten Stand vor Stuxnet gebracht hat.

Die westliche Welt ergeht sich jetzt in einem irrationalen Freudentaumel, weil sie glaubt, in der islamischen Hemisphäre sei die Demokratie ausgebrochen; und gleichzeitig zieht der Iran sein Nuklearprogramm weiter durch.

So blöd kann sich eigentlich nur westliche Wahrnehmung artikulieren, die im Shangri La des „Hier und jetzt und Wünschenswerten“ halluziniert, aber jeglichen Bezug zur Realität verloren hat.

In his address marking the 32nd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad insists that the nation remains determined to continue its nuclear path, as it marks the 32nd anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution. He also stressed that a new Middle East will be created in the near future without the U.S. or Israel.

„The Iranian nation will continue its way and it does not need the world powers to complete its nuclear program,“ he told tens of thousands of demonstrators at Tehran’s Azadi Square today. He added that the Western countries should adopt a coordination policy instead of a confrontation policy.

Iranian authorities have blocked the word „Bahman“ — the 11th month of the Persian calendar — from Internet searches within the country, according to an opposition website.

The measure appears to be an effort by Iranian authorities to obstruct access to several websites that are promoting a rally on Monday — the 25th day of Bahman — proposed by Iranian opposition leaders in support of the uprising in Egypt, Saham News reported Saturday.

„I would tell Iranians to learn from the Egyptians, as we have learned from you guys, that at the end of the day with the power of people, we can do  whatever we want to do.  If we unite our goals, if we believe, then all our dreams can come true,” is the prominent Egyptian activist’s message to Iranians on the threshold of the 14 February demonstrations.

Was fehlt: Eine Zahlenamgabe, wie viele Iraner denn ihrem großartigen Präsidenten gelauscht haben … und Bilder der Massen. Woher’s wohl kommen mag?

A group of Tahrir Square protesters on Thursday called on the Iranian people to revolt against the Iranian Islamic dictatorship. (…)

In a statement, the Egyptian protesters said, „O Great Egyptians, O sons of the ancient Egyptian civilization, which spread light throughout the world, outsiders are trying to steal your revolution.”

The statement went on to say, “Khamenei and his follower [the leader of Hezbollah] Hassan Nasrallah came out to drive a wedge in the nation’s fabric by talking about an Islamic revolution in an attempt to eliminate our Coptic brothers for our revolution.“

Beyond the boiler-plate rhetoric on „arrogant powers“, Ahmadinejad did make an appeal — being played up by state media — of Iran as a „model for other nations“, referring to the uprisings in the Arab world. It was a pretty clumsy attempt, however, and I doubt it will cause even a ripple, given the drama of events elsewhere and the pointed rejection of the Supreme Leader’s attempt last week by Egyptian groups, including the Muslim Brotherhood.

The big question, however, is how Ahmadinejad went down with his own people. It was the standard 22 Bahman crowd in Azadi Square — no shots of any marches elsewhere in Iran, so far — so it is difficult to draw any conclusions.

Die Nachrichtenagentur der „Islamischen Republik“ verrät etwas über die feuchten Träume des Regimes: The protestors said they would stage a massive demonstration on February 11 during which they would first head to Mubarak’s palace and then to the US Embassy in the Egyptian capital. (Irna) Und wenn sie dann noch die US-Botschaft besetzten, ist endlich alles so wie 1979. Aber sicher.

Wieder so ein einsamer Höhepunkt an Machtdemonstration der „Islamischen Republik“; der Verbündete muß die eigenen Feiertage mitfeiern: The Islamic Republic of Iran Day was celebrated simultaneous with celebrations marking the 32nd anniversary of the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran and abroad, in Syria at the International Exhibitions Ground of Damascus.
