Lichter, größer heller, das ist wohl kaum die Perspektive von Menschen unter dem Regime der „Islamischen Republik“. Wogegen jetzt Abhilfe geschaffen werden soll:

Gholamhossein Esmaili, Director of Iranian Prison System, has announced plans to build 47 new prisons in the next three years. When asked about the poor conditions in some of the prisons, he said „this is anti-revolutionary propaganda!“

Authorities have admitted that Iran’s current prison system is filled with up to three times its capacity. Iran has one of the world’s highest per-capita population of prisoners, including political dissidents, petty criminals, financial scoundrels, and drug-traffickers or users. (via Kodoom)
