Hoffnung für Yusef Naderkhani

Der Anwalt des wegen seines christlichen Glaubens zum Tode verurteilten Iraners Yusef Naderkhani ist optimistisch, seinen Klienten vor der Hinrichtung bewahren zu können. Bleibt zu hoffen, daß die Mullahrichter sich seiner Islamauslegung anschließen:

„I have provided the court with explanations that I believe will make the court change its decision, and it is 90 to 95 percent likely that the court will acquit Naderkhani,“ Dadkhah said.
„I said that at the time of Prophet Mohammad no one was killed for being an apostate. The history of Islam shows that at the time of the Prophet three tribes became apostate but the Prophet didn’t [order] them to be killed. There’s nothing about killing apostates in the Koran,“ he said.

Cyber Hizbollah

Im September 2011 fand in Teheran die zweite Konferenz der Cyber-Hisbollah statt. Dort trafen sich islamistische Hacker und Cyber-Jihadisten und beschlossen Europa und die USA zu bekämpfen. Auch der politische Stratege der iranischen Revolutionsgardisten Hassan Abbasi war anwesend und hielt flammende Reden.

Die Teilnehmer der Konferenz der Cyber-Hisbollah setzten sich aus sogenannten „Cyber-Jihad-Aktivisten“, Aktivisten des „Cyber-Widerstandes“ und „Interessenten des sanften Krieges“ zusammen. Direkt telefonisch verbunden mit der Konferenz war Hojat Vahidi, Leiter des neuen „Komitees der Strategie der heiligen Verteidigung in Europa“. Er ist ein Koordinator der Propagandaaktivitäten des Iran für Europa und die USA.

Facing Execution for the ‚Crime‘ of Being a Christian In Iran

Der deutsch-iranische Solardialog

Der nächste Besuch eines Vertreters der Linkspartei im Iran, ganz im Geiste der Lucrezia Jochimsen. Und er will „Klippen umschiffen“, um „Dual Use-Güter“ in den Iran zu schaffen. Darin sind die Deutschen, das nur am Rande, Meister. So konnte Gaddafi in Rabta seine Chemiewaffenfabrik bauen und Saddam das Giftgas herstellen, mit dem er gegen die Kurden vorging. Aber halt, der Jan von Aken weiß ja Bescheid: Irak hatte ja gar keine Massenvernichtungswaffen. Heute geht’s um Solar, natürlich nicht um Gitgas, denn die Mullahs, was wusste ja auch schon Frau Jochimsen, wollen tief im Innern nur Gutes:

(Der Iran) ist derzeit bestrebt, solarthermische Anlagen zu errichten, stößt dabei aber auf gewaltige Schwierigkeiten.

Haupthemmnis, sagt van Aken, sind paradoxerweise die vor allem von den westlichen Ländern durchgedrückten internationalen Sanktionen gegen Teheran. Dem Land wird unterstellt, unter dem Deckmantel des Baus von Kernkraftwerken auch atomare Rüstung zu betreiben.

Iran plans to send ships close to US waters

Obamas Werben um die Gunst der Mullahs wird in Teheran interessiert zur Kenntnis genommen:

Iran’s navy is going to deploy ships close to US territorial waters, its commander in chief was quoted as saying on Tuesday.
„As the global oppression (the US) is present not far from our maritime border … our navy is going to have a strong presence not far from US territorial waters,“ the Irna news agency quoted Admiral Habibollah Sayyari as saying.
The remarks come as another high-ranking Iranian appeared to reject a recent US request to establish a „red phone“ link between the countries to avoid unwanted confrontation between their armed forces in the Gulf region.
„When we are in the Gulf of Mexico, we will establish direct contact with the United States,“ Ali Fadavi, commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy, was quoted in press reports as saying.

Drohnen für Ahmedinejad?

Nun ist es offiziell: die Türkei und der Iran arbeiten bei der Bekämpfung der PKK/ PJAK fortan koordiniert und eng zusammen, d. h. Natotruppen werden künftig Seit’ and Seit’ mit den Pasdaran im Irak aktiv kämpfen.

Und weil das Szenario so wunderbar ist, liefern die USA noch die intelligence:

Radikal informiert unter der Schlagzeile “USA und Türkei über Drohnen einig” dass die Türkei und die USA sich im Prinzip über die Predatoren, dem unbemannten Flugkörper geeinigt haben. Erdogan habe vermerkt, dass es in diesem Thema keine Probleme gäbe. Laut Meldung sollen nach Abzug der US-Truppen aus dem Irak die Predatoren an die Türkei ausgeliefert werden. Mit den Drohnen werde (man) gegen die Terrororganisation PKK noch mehr nachrichtendienstliche Informationen erhalten.

Die große Frage ist, wann die USA entsprechendes Material auch Ahmedinejad zukommen lassen. Offenbar findet man in Washington, dass die Kurden eine große Gefahr darstellen. Sie könnten ja den Nahen Osten destabilisieren …

Iranians against Neturei Karta

Eine bemerkenswerte Szene in New York: oppositionelle Iraner demonstrieren gegen die antizionistische Sekte Neturei Karta (deren selbsternannter Rabbi Moshe Arye Friedman Teilnehmer der Holocaustleugner-Konferenz in Teheran war und dort mit Ahmadinejad kuschelte):

Im Iran verbrennen sie Bibeln …

… und es mag sich niemand so recht darüber aufzuregen. Erinnert sich noch wer an den outrage über Pfarrer Terry Jones, den Präsidenten, Außenminister und UN-Generalsekretäre warnten, doch auf keinen Fall einen Koran öffentlich zu verbrennen? Aber es sind ja nur Bibeln … und tausende davon. Und das ganze findet schließlich nicht in den USA,  sondern im Iran statt. Da muss man natürlich kultursensibel reagieren.

Iranian authorities began to systematically seize and destroy Bibles after a Shiite cleric issued an urgent warning about the spread of Christianity.

Authorities in northwestern Iran seized 6,500 Bibles, according to the Iranian Christian news organization Mohabat News, which quotes an official as saying of the seizure that “all religions are strengthening their power to confront Islam; otherwise, what does this huge number of Bibles mean?” The agency has reported several other recent incidents of Bibles and other Christian literature being seized and sometimes publicly burned.

Mohabat reports that the government-connected cleric, Ayatollah Hadi Jahangosha, warned of “the spread of Christianity among our youth,” pointing to burgeoning satellite programming, literature, and religious articles promoting the Western tradition.

“Everyone in society should feel responsibility in this matter and play his or her role in spreading of pure Islam and fight false and distorted cultures,” the news agency quotes him as saying.

Bizarrer Partyschreck

Ob es etwas bringt, mag bezweifelt werden, aber wenn die österreichische Presse schon so über den iranischen Präsidenten und seine Sozialisten-des-21. Jhds. Kollegen schreibt, machen die jedenfalls nicht mehr so viel her. Vor ein paar Jahren sprach man doch noch mit weit mehr Hochachtung von ihnen:

Libyens Diktator Muammar al-Gaddafi ist abgetaucht, Venezuelas Staatschef Hugo Chavéz unterzieht sich einer Chemotherapie. Die Rolle des bizarren Partyschrecks blieb bei der diesjährigen Vollversammlung der Vereinten Nationen einzig und allein Irans Präsident Mahmoud Ahmadinejad vorbehalten.

Danish Mega-Mosque Funded by Iran

The city council of Copenhagen has given its final approval for the construction of the first official „Grand Mosque“ in the Danish capital. The mega-mosque will have a massive blue dome as well as two towering minarets and is architecturally designed to stand out on Copenhagen’s low-rise skyline.

Unlike most mosques in Europe, which cater to Sunni Muslims, the mosque in Copenhagen pertains to Shia Islam. The mosque is being financed by the Islamic Republic of Iran; critics say that theocrats in Tehran intend to use the mosque to establish a recruiting center for the militant Shia Muslim group, Hezbollah in Europe.

Who’s afraid of the Iranian opposition?

The West has spent more than thirty years looking for incentives for compromise with the Islamist regime in Iran. After the takeover of the alleged reformer Khatami in 1997, things looked brighter than ever before. In what U.S. diplomat Martin Indyk described as a „goodwill gesture,“ the Clinton administration put the Iranian opposition group the Mullahs fear most — the „Peoples Mujahedin Organization of Iran“ (MEK) — on their list of „Foreign Terrorist Organizations.“

The European Union followed suit with a similar decision in 2001, but had to remove the MEK of their list of terrorist organizations in 2009. The many accusations that have been brought forward against the MEK could not bear examination. Several verdicts of the British and the European Courts of Justice considered the listing as a violation of the rule of law.

Iran bei Durban III

The Iranian minister of foreign affairs, Ali Akbar Salehi, is now scheduled to take part in the conference known as Durban III, according to a well-placed source close to the United Nations. On September 22, the U.N. will „commemorate“ the 10th anniversary of Durban I that ended just three days before 9/11. Given that Iranian leaders hope for the genocidal destruction of the U.N. member state of Israel and deny the Holocaust, their enthusiasm for the Durban phenomena blows the lid of the event’s „anti-racism“ cover.

The 2001 Durban Declaration claimed Palestinians were „victims“ of Israeli racism. Israel was the only one of 192 U.N. member states standing accused. Quite deliberately, therefore, Salehi will address one of the „roundtable“ gatherings organized by the U.N., titled, „Victims of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance: recognition, justice and development.“

A parody of law and justice

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s impending visit to the United States and the UN is a cruel parody of law and justice that will put us on the wrong side of history.

Ahmadinejad will enter the US despite being inadmissible under American law. He will address the United Nations General Assembly despite being in violation of its UN Charter and international law. And, he will be indulged – even feted – by universities, institutes, and the media, thereby sanitizing his crimes and mocking the suffering of the Iranian people.

This charade – repeated annually since 2007 – ignores and undermines basic principles of domestic, international, and humanitarian law.

Campaign to save Lake Urmia

These pictures are part of a campaign to save Lake Urmia, a vast salt water lake in northwestern Iran, which is gradually drying out. Local activists are hoping to convince the Tehran regime of the importance of preserving this lake, so as to avoid an economic and environmental disaster for the region.

Lake Urmia campaigners have turned to the web to raise awareness, and try to save the lake, while there is still time. A Facebook page has been set up and already has over 4 800 active members. A petition is also circulating online, calling upon the authorities to take immediate action. It has already gathered near to 3 500 signatures.

The Association for Defense of Political Prisoners in Iran, or ADAPP, is asking the international community for help in preventing a potential environmental catastrophe, which would have disastrous consequences for 13 Million locals. The organization is also calling upon the Iranian government to end its repression of protesters and engage in peaceful negotiations with them, in order to find a solution for this highly pressing problem.

Ahmadinejad heads to U.N. assembly weakened by rivals

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad headed for the annual U.N. General Assembly on Monday with little scope for effective diplomacy, weakened by rivals at home maneuvering to prevent his words to the world being taken as Tehran’s official stance.

Trying to divert attention from his fading standing in the Islamic Republic, Ahmadinejad told U.S. media on Tuesday the two U.S. citizens recently sentenced to eight years in prison for alleged espionage would be freed „in a couple of days.“

Iranische Bloggerin ausgepeitscht

These are the words Iranian blogger Somayeh Tohidloo wrote [fa] in her blog after receiving 50 whip lashes in Evin Prison on September 14, 2011:

Be happy, for if you wanted to humiliate me, I confess that I feel my entire body is suffering with degradation.

Somayeh was active during the 2009 presidential election in the campaign for Mir Hussein Mousavi, and she was jailed for 70 days in 2009, after a mass protest movement erupted in Iran. She was released after paying bail, but the flogging sentence was eventually upheld.

Green City writes [fa]:

Here is Iran, where Somayeh Tohidloo, a PhD-graduate is lashed while a $3 billion dollar fraud [over a Lake Urmia] happens, and nothing is done to punish the fraudulent acts.

Somayeh was accused of insulting Ahmadinejad… I was appalled to see a human being lashed for writing a post about a criminal.

Endlich Alternative zum Kapitalismus gefunden

Dr. Yavuz Özuguz, Betrieber des Mulsimmarktes, hat für den iranischen Staatsrundfunk endlich eine Alternative zum Kapitalismus gefunden und weist den Wef, wie man den deutsch-iranischen Berg abtragen könne:

Und damit bin ich am Ende bei der Eingangsfrage: Kann der Kapitalismus pleite gehen? Die Antwort auf jene Frage lautet: Nein! Der Kapitalismus “kann“ nicht pleite gehen. Er ist von sich aus bereits von Anfang an ein bankrottes Wirtschaftsmodell, dass wie eine Ideologie die ganze Menschheit zu versklaven sucht. Der Tanz um das Goldene Kalb stand und steht schon seit Menschheitsgedenken im Mittelpunkt der Auseinandersetzung zwischen einem menschenfreundlichen Daseinsverständnis und einer menschenverachtenden Unterdrückungsideologie. Und die einstmals zu Mose (a.) Zeiten ganz offen um das Goldene Kalb tanzenden Bevölkerungsschichten, stellen auch heute ganz offen vor ihre Börsen einen Bullen (also ein ausgewachsenes Kalb) auf. Warum wird das übersehen? Und es ist kein Zufall, dass jener Kapitalismus mit dem derzeit höchsten Maß an Arroganz, Herrenmenschendenken und Imperialismus einhergeht. Es wird Zeit, dass muslimische Intellektuelle dem praktikable Alternativen entgegen stellen. Die Islamische Republik Iran stellt hierfür die beste Bühne. Auch das könnte helfen, den deutsch-iranischen Berg der Missverständnisse abzutragen. Denn die heutige herrschende Politik in Deutschland mag sich bis zum Untergang an den US-Amerikanischen und zionistischen Kapitalismus verkauft haben. Aber die Bürger haben das nicht getan und suchen nach Alternativen. Man muss sie ihnen auch vorstellen.

Will die Türkei den wahren Islam ersetzen?

Former Judiciary chief Ayatollah Hashemi Shahroudi said on Wednesday that Turkey is using developments in the region in its own favor by promoting liberal Islam.

 He stated that the arrogant Western powers are afraid of regional countries’ relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran and are making efforts to introduce innovative models of Islam, such as liberal Islam in Turkey, and are seeking to replace the true Islam with them.

Iran is understood to believe that with the US focused on Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya and with Israel facing growing diplomatic isolation, the chance for a military strike against its nuclear facilities is currently at an unprecedented low. For that reason, the Iranians feel that they can move forward, advance their nuclear program and continue to enrich uranium at multiple facilities.

Israel’s assessment of Iran’s nuclear program has not changed very much despite the clear escalation in activity.

Belarus is the latest country that Western powers suspect of helping Iran skirt UN sanctions aimed at preventing it from expanding its ballistic missile and nuclear programs, Western diplomats told Reuters on Thursday.
If the suspicions are confirmed, the already isolated Belarus would join China, Russia, Syria, North Korea, Turkey and other states Western powers believe have helped Tehran flout UN measures since the Security Council adopted its first sanctions resolution against Iran in late 2006.

Proteste in Kanada

A protest rally has been held outside the Ontario Legislative Assembly in Toronto against the drying up of Lake Urmia.

The protesters lay down outside the parliament building to voice their protest against Iran’s policies on Lake Urmia, the South Azerbaijan Human Rights Centre in Toronto told Gun.Az.

They chanted slogans against policies pursued by Tehran in the Iranian provinces of South Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Republic.

A strong resolution

Britain will push the United Nations for a strong resolution condemning human rights violations in Iran, the foreign secretary has said.
William Hague said Iran’s refusal to respond to its people’s demands for greater freedom was isolating the country from the rest of the world.
He also accused it of „breathtaking hypocrisy“ in claiming to support the Arab Spring revolutions.
Mr Hague added Iran was „completely unwilling“ to discuss human rights.
He said the crackdown on the 2009 democracy protests in Iran showed its people wanted a more open government.
The revolutions of the Arab Spring in Egypt, Tunisia and Libya also showed that the desire for human rights and open government was universal and efforts to suppress it in Iran would fail, he said.
„The lessons of the Arab revolutions hold true for Iran just as they apply to repressive countries across the world,“ he added.
